The Assistant Lecturer Abdul Latif Sharif Shihab, Secretary General of the Central Library, received Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, President of Tikrit University, during his inspection visit to the General Secretariat of the Central Library. The visit aimed to review the work environment, the scientific and library services provided, and to follow up on the administrative and organizational procedures across the library’s various departments.During the visit, the President of the University toured the library’s halls and facilities, reviewing its specialized sections, printed and electronic academic resources, cataloguing and circulation systems, as well as the research services offered to students, faculty members, and researchers. He also examined the development and modernization plans that the General Secretariat of the Central Library seeks to implement.Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf emphasized the University Presidency’s commitment to supporting the Central Library as a fundamental pillar of the educational and research process. He stressed the importance of keeping pace with modern developments in the field of academic libraries, enhancing digital transformation, and expanding scientific databases in a manner that contributes to raising the university’s academic standards.For his part, the Secretary General of the Central Library provided a detailed overview of the nature of work, the achievements accomplished, and the challenges facing the library. He affirmed the continuous efforts to develop library services and to provide an integrated academic environment that serves the university’s staff members and students.
