The University of Tikrit received a delegation from the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine

on an official visit, during which the delegation presented letters of appreciation to the General Secretariat of the Central Library and to the University of Tikrit as a whole, in addition to honoring a number of the university’s staff members in recognition of their significant efforts in ensuring the success of the fruitful collaboration between the Holy Shrine and the University of Tikrit in the Iraqi Digital Repository Project.

The delegation expressed its pride in this constructive academic and intellectual cooperation, which has contributed to strengthening the position of scientific research and serving both researchers and students alike.

In the same context, the Secretary-General of the Central Library at the University of Tikrit, Assistant Lecturer Abdul Latif Sharif Shihab, presented a letter of appreciation and an honorary shield to Dr. Saleh Al-Hasnawi, Director of the Iraqi Digital Repository, in recognition of his dedicated efforts and distinguished role in the success of the project and the achievement of its objectives.

The visit also included an official tour of the College of Pharmacy to review its chemical laboratories, followed by a visit to the College of Agriculture, where the delegation was warmly received, and shields and letters of appreciation were presented in acknowledgment of the ongoing efforts of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine.

The visit concluded at the Presidency of the University of Tikrit, where the delegation presented letters of appreciation to the University President, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, the Administrative Vice President, Professor Dr. Hussein Abdul Ismail, and the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Hassan Hussein Ibrahim, in recognition of their great efforts in supporting scientific cooperation and partnership between the university and the Holy Shrine, reflecting the depth of academic and intellectual ties between the two institutions.
