“The Rentier Economy in Iraq: A Technical Reading from the Perspective of Petroleum Engineering.”

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, President of the University of Tikrit,
and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Siaf Abdul Hussein, Director of the Continuing Education Center, and Assistant Lecturer Abdul Latif Sharif Shahab, Secretary General of the Central Library, the Continuing Education Division at the General Secretariat of the Central Library, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center and the College of Petroleum Operations Engineering, organized a scientific seminar entitled:

“The Rentier Economy in Iraq: A Technical Reading from the Perspective of Petroleum Engineering.”

The seminar was held on Monday, 29 December 2025, at the Continuing Education Division Hall (Central Library – Second Floor) at 10:00 a.m.

The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Rand Saad Ahmed Naji, a faculty member at the College of Petroleum Operations Engineering, who addressed several important scientific themes highlighting the reality of the rentier economy in Iraq and analyzing it from a petroleum engineering perspective.
